SONA was officially established with the name of Overseas Labour Services Company under Department of International Relations for Labour of MoLISA by the Decision No 340/LĐTBXH-QĐ dated 09/6/1993. Within the year, SONA started opening the first service of dispatching trainee to Japan.
International Manpower Supply and Trade Company Ltd (SONA) was formed in the course of changing operation of Services Centre for Overseas Labour under Department of International Relations of Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social affairs into economic businesses mode in the period of first years of economic reform and international integration. Company’s main activities were cater cultural magazines, newspapers and local commodities for Vietnamese workers in Eastern countries
